Cornhole Cozy and yes, You heard me right!

This is the adorable and highly Cozy evite we received to a BBQ in West Seattle Saturday night. And a special occasion it was as Chris and Terry had a terrible fire at their house last year (electrical) and finally finally finally the house was repaired and good as new and they decided to celebrate with a summer BBQ!

What a cute house and what a delicious spread! Loved the vintage table clothes and mason jars full of neighbor’s garden dahlia’s (a fav flower of Seattle).

Lots of delicious foods and thank you whoever brought the filet mignon!
Here is the itinirary – how much fun does that sound like!
But wait a second, Cornholing???

And all this time I thought that was something else…shame on me! But I love me some good clean fun and being the sporty gal that I am was ready to give it a try! Did I dream of being crowned Cornhole Champion? Common now, lets not get carried away!!!
This is not a picture from the party, I just wanted to show someone in action! We in fact started playing right after the sun went down, in other words in the almost dark! Someone put lit votives in the cornhole “hole”.

Ok, so if I do manage to get my sack in the hole, won’t it then catch on fire? This game has more drama than I thought!
SOME IMPORTANT CORNHOLE TERMINOLOGY (according to Wikipedia)
Ace or cow pie: A bag lands on the board, which is worth one point.
Back door: A cornhole that goes over the top of a blocker and into the hole
A Cornfusion: When players or teams cannot agree on the scoring of a given inning.
Sally: A toss that is thrown too weakly and lands on the ground before reaching the board.
Shucker: When a player pitches a bag and it strikes an opposing players bag knocking it off the boardShucker
Slider: A cornhole that slides into the hole
I actually did accomplish a “swish” – “a bag that goes directly into the hole”. Call that beginner’s luck I guess!
And get this, Hollywood is already on this band wagon as – Cornhole: The Movie
premiered in theaters earlier this summer. Maybe we all need to rent it today (yeah, right…) or even better just go out a play a rousing round or two!
Anybody else having some Summertime fun? We’d love to hear about it!!!
