Cozy Diana Krall
Smoky chanteuse Diana Krall was at the Hollywood Bowl last weekend and she was incredible! Her opening words to the audience were “Good girl dress, Bad girl shoes”! And in that voice you can imagine how that sounded! She had a great band which she mentioned quite frequently and even stopped to tell the audience a little story of how “cool” she was in high school in the marching band (not!) and how meanwhile, her friends were lisltening to Elvis Costello… she then added.”I guess I got the last laugh” and boy was she right. They now have 8 month old twin boys! She sang a lot of my favs but I have to say my favorite song of the night was the last, surprisingly a Bee Gees song “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart” She did such a killer version of this song I still have it in my head! I will see her over and over again and wouldn’t it just be a dream if one day Elvis came out and sang with her!!!!
