CoZy Zinnias

by Leslie Patson | 14th June 2008

I’ve labored over my garden for almost 3 years now and one thing I’ve learned is that Gardens Take Time!! Of course some people have greener thumbs than others but for me, it was and still is total trial and error. But not that things are looking good (even my Hydrangeas are turning the right color blue) I saw that I still had some holes I needed to fill. How was it that I missed that area in the back, the place that not much seems to want to grow?

Well, tall color is what I need so when I was browsing around the nursery at Home Depot I saw some seed packets of Zinnias. If only I had a photo of the Zinnia garden my dad had back in Berwyn, PA! Right there in the front of the house, a bed about 10 ft. long and just full of tall colorful Zinnias – he really had a green thumb and it was gorgeous! If I can grow these not only will they be perfect but what a beautiful homage to my dad! My fingers including my semi-green thumb are crossed!
(sorry Dad, I’m maybe not going for quite so colorful, but I know you would appreciate my artistic color approach, cool huh?)
