Happy New Year (and a little celeb gossip too!)

Cozyland wants to wish everyone a VERY HAPPY (and cozy) NEW YEAR!!!!

Although I missed my family terribly this season I did get to do a lot of things that make the holidays cozy for me!
Thanks gal pal Valerie for the great novel Half Broken Horses by Jeanette Wallis. Really enjoyed this prequel to The Glass Castle.
Lots of movies! The Tourist (whats not to like?), Black Swan (wow…ballet meets Fellini?), Unstoppable (explosion/helicopter/crash director Tony Scott has Denzel does his usual thing but its still entertaining) and Little Fockers. Jessica Alba is actually pretty good in this!
New recipes! to be posted soon – one with chestnuts, broccoli goes sophisticated yet still easy and Jamie Oliver’s turkey pie with puff pastry.
Hiking Discover Park – Gavin and I did the 5 miles to the lighthouse, walking on the pebble beach with the waves lapping against the backdrop of Lake Washington – gorgeous!
Marc and I taking many walks in the hood bundled up for rain or cold or even sunshine!

Oh right, the celeb gossip! In case you’re wondering why I am using this Club Monaco as a New Years greeting well, I kind of stumbled upon it reading about the engagement/pregnancy of actress Natalie Portmant who is getting so much press with the release of Black Swan. This toe-pointing male “model” in the ad above is none other than her fiance Benjamin Milliped – who when not being choreographer of Black Swan and principal dancer for the New York City ballet. took time out to do this modeling gig! Not too shabby! Well we know Nat and Ben are gonna have a good New Years and lets wish them a little more luck than most celebs have. But way more importantly than that, lets all have a really great, happy, healthy New Year and lets all focus on slowing down a bit and enjoying the simple things that really make us COZY!!!
