Val has sent me an fun to answer Christmas questionaire. Cut and paste and send it to your friends to find out their Christmas lowdown! Here are my results!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? No doubt about it, wrapping paper! I think gift bags are a little like fruit cakes, they keep being passed around! Plus I love wrapping gifts!
2. Real tree or artificial? REAL! The smell of fresh pine is a huge part of Christmas for me! When I lived in Berwyn, Pennsylvania we actually had a pine tree forest right by the house and I remember walking through in the snow picking holly – sounds too good to be true. I need hature!
3. When do you put up your tree? We just put it up this past weekend and I think that time frame is pretty consistent each year. Makes sense to get a tree in water asap too. Plus I love it!
4. When do you take the tree down? also around January 4th. Don’t want to be one of those crazy people who keep their tree up till April! I’m already considered a crazy cat lady!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Hmmm, not sure but I did love all that Easy Bake Oven stuff! or does anybody remember Incredible Edibles? God, what was in that stuff? But boy, did we have fun chewing on goody spiders etc!
7. Do you have a Nativity scene? Never.
8. Hardest person to buy for? I am so sorry to hear that I am a person who is hard to buy for! What a pain in the ass! sorry Val, really I love everything! *see next question.
9. Easiest person to buy for? Everyone is hard which is why in my family we stopped! Now I’m happy to give more money to animal charities!
10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Happy to say I never dwelled on a “worst present” I mean, thats not the “Christmas spirit”, right?
11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail for sure! So much fun to receive cards in the mail, its a very special tradition and anyhow, you can’t hang an email around a door frame!
12. Favorite Christmas movie? Not a movie, but the Charlie Brown Christmas special. Watch it every year and listen to the music all the time.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Haha, I agree with Val about shopping on Christmas Eve but will add the people who do Black Friday. Although I always start too late which is a drag.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? No, don’t think so.
15. Favorite things to eat at Christmas? My Aunt Aggie’s Nut Cake which we call the Nutt Butt cake. Christmas breakfast is always important for my family. We get very elaborate and always Mimosas.
16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Clear for sure. Love the sparkle.
17. Favorite Christmas song? Skating by Vince Guaraldi from Charlie Brown.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? We alternate with the Florida family but this year unfortunately no one is traveling. First year we are not all together, boo hoo!
19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer? I can hear the song in my head that names them all but I’d probably bastardize that too!
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Don’t have one, how lame! Gonna steal Val’s. It sounds perfect and I love mercury glass!
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Morning for sure. The anticipation is the best!
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Agree totally with Val. Being in the moment and really really enjoying the season! To not be able to do this sucks!
23. What is the “corniest” family tradition you do, or miss doing? Well we used to go to Midnight mass after drinking champagne and sing a “little too loud” and maybe giggle too. Not really appropriate for church, right? I mean, its not American Idol!!!
24. Ugliest Christmas Decoration ever invented? I would have to choose from the bizarre Cat ornaments people seem to think I like! Friends, stop giving me weird cat stuff please!
25. Which looks the best, theme trees or homey trees? Homey – absolutely! Well I loved and miss my theme tree. I mean I had collected tiny leaves from the sidewalk in Seattle and painted them gold! But I do enjoy collecting different ornaments each year and try to remember to put the year on them. Some day i would like to have more than one tree!
26. What does Christmas mean to you? A special time of year to really bring people together, to feel warm and cozy. Lots of love in the air!

Voila Val! this was fun and how else would we ever learn these little funny details!!!
