Summertime Cozy = Salt Water Taffy!

by Leslie Patson | 14th August 2008

Its funny how when you live in Southern California and everyday is hot and sunny with a bright blue sky summertime can almost slip through your fingers. When does it start and when does it end? One of my absolute fondest summetime memories is how when I was a little girl back in Philadlephia my family would pack up the station wagon and go visit “the other Patsons” down in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Through Cozyland I was recently contacted by one of my cousins Mary that I haven’t talk to in a million years! But the memories of hanging out with Mary, Daria, Adrienne and Cheryl are crystal clear! I mean how much fun did we used to have! The sense memory song for me is Seals and Croft “Summer Breeze” (how coincidental but its true!) and the sense memory food is Salt Water Taffy. What a treat! We would always go down to the boardwalk to buy a couple boxes, one to eat right away and the other to take home. My favorite flavor was always chocolate.

My mom would always warn us that it would pull out teeth out but we didn’t care, what kid would?

Mary, thanks so much for getting in touch! Lots of love and big hello to everyone!

    Hi Leslie:

Mary told me about your site. It is really special. I read Country Living all the time and the Blueberry house is really adorable. Mary wanted to get your email so we can send you some pictures. Great to hear you and your family are doing well.
